About

Febi Hariadi is an Indonesian street photographer based in Greater Jakarta. An engineer by profession with more than eighteen years in telecommunications, he photographs the way he travels: on foot, with patience, and with an eye for the small moments most people walk past.

His work moves between the streets he knows best in Jakarta and the cities he visits with his family, from the night-lit avenues of Istanbul to the neon alleys of Hong Kong and the fog of Belgrade. He shoots with a Sony A7 II and, just as often, an iPhone, believing that the moment matters more than the gear.

His first competition win came in 2016, when a photograph of a child's handwritten note left on a hotel bed took First Prize in a contest held by Mercure Bandung. In 2018, one of his iPhone photographs was selected by Apple and featured on its official Instagram account as part of the Shot on iPhone campaign. A year later, he won First Prize in the InstaGrab photo competition. The prize was a Sony A7 II, the camera that would go on to make many of the photographs on this site.

His work is shared on Instagram as @cumajepret.
